Sunita Thakkar Mahtani, MSW, is a mission-driven leader dedicated to advancing social justice. She is deeply committed to creating opportunities for girls and underserved communities. She currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Engagement at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where she leads strategies engaging companies to advance gender, racial, and reproductive rights.

Sunita’s background spans corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. Before PPFA, she was Director of Global Corporate Engagement at Catalyst Inc. and Program Director at Girls Inc. of Long Island. Earlier in her career, she helped launch the first grantmaking program for 9/11 survivors at the American Red Cross, managed client portfolios at WebMD, and led immigrant community engagement at the NYC Mayor’s Office to Combat Gender-Based Violence.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State and a master’s in social work from Columbia University. Sunita lives in Pittsburgh with her two teenage daughters.
